A 100m roll of Nemtek S-Series slimline HT cable for longer lead-outs, several zones and bigger electric fence jobs. It is Nemtek's single core HT cable for electric fence energizers: stranded tinned copper wires inside a double insulated, UV stabilised black sheath. The cable carries the energizer's pulse to the first live wire, takes the earth terminal to the earth spike, and jumps the feed between fence sections and zones. For small jobs the same cable comes as 30m and 50m lengths.
Which HT cable length do you need?
Add up the run from the energizer to the first live wire, the run from the earth terminal to the earth spike, and every jumper between sections, then allow spare. 100m is the roll for an energizer mounted well away from the fence, a dual zone energizer such as the Merlin Stealth M28S with two lead-outs, or an installer who keeps a roll on the van. For one short lead-out the 30m or 50m length is enough. We also list the Nemtek A-Series HT cable, a 100m roll with a solid aluminium core for fences strung with aluminium wire.
Tinned copper, double insulated, UV stabilised
Nemtek describes the S-Series as UV stabilised, double insulated, tinned copper stranded wires, so it can run exposed along the top of a wall and down to the earth spike. Nemtek also makes the 100m slimline roll in white; we list the black. It is not an undergate cable: for runs under a gate or driveway Nemtek sells its U-Series Undergate HT cable with a galvanised conductor.
What goes with it
Join the cable to the fence wire with a Nemtek 6mm bolt-type line clamp, and take the earth run to a Nemtek copper clad earth spike, whose double nut and washer clamp the cable. Nemtek's double pole lightning diverter sits in this cable run between the energizer and the fence, within 2m of the earth spike. Tidy the cable with 100mm cable ties. It suits the Merlin Stealth M18S, Merlin Stealth M28S and Wizord 4i energizers. The fence must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer. Alectra supplies the equipment only.
Key features
- The long roll. 100m for lead-outs well away from the fence, dual zone energizers with two lead-outs, and installers who keep stock.
- Tinned copper strands. Nemtek's S-Series conductor is stranded tinned copper wire.
- Double insulated. Nemtek describes the S-Series as double insulated for the high voltage pulse it carries.
- UV stabilised sheath. Made to run exposed along a wall or down to the earth spike in the sun.
- Slimline black. Nemtek's slim profile in black. Nemtek also makes the 100m roll in white.
- Single core. One conductor per cable: one run for the live feed, another for the earth.
- Not for under gates. Nemtek sells its U-Series Undergate HT cable for runs under gates and driveways.
- Nemtek code EH-BS100S. The 100m black slimline roll in Nemtek's S-Series range.

Questions people ask
It is the insulated lead-out: it carries the energizer's high voltage pulse from the fence terminal to the first live wire, and links the earth terminal to the earth spike, so the pulse reaches the fence without leaking to the wall, brackets or ground on the way.
Anyone whose energizer sits well away from the fence, a dual zone layout with two lead-outs and two earth runs, a fence with many jumpers between sections, or an installer who wants a roll on the van. For one short lead-out the 30m or 50m length is enough.
Nemtek does not say the slimline S-Series can be buried. For runs under gates and driveways Nemtek sells its U-Series Undergate HT cable with a galvanised conductor; ask the branch about it.
Nemtek does not publish a kV figure, conductor size or outside diameter for the S-Series. It describes the cable as double insulated and UV stabilised, and it is Nemtek's own HT cable for its electric fence energizers.
One insulated conductor per cable. You run one length from the energizer's fence terminal to the fence and a second length from the earth terminal to the earth spike.
With a Nemtek 6mm bolt-type line clamp, which Nemtek lists for joining electric fence cables and wires. At the earth spike, the Nemtek copper clad spike has a double nut and washer that clamps the cable.
Nemtek makes the slimline S-Series in white as well as black, in 30m, 100m and 200m rolls. We list the black; ask the branch about white.
Yes. An electric fence, including the energizer connection and the earthing, must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer. Alectra supplies the cable and fittings only.
Need it fitted? Alectra Solutions supplies product only. Ask the branch and we will point you to installers in Pretoria.
