How courier costs work
Checkout adds up the weight of everything in your cart and shows the courier cost for your address. Parcels up to 10 kg cost R160 to anywhere in South Africa. Heavier parcels, such as gate motor kits, electric fence energisers with batteries or several items together, move into a higher weight band.
For a very large order, ask us for a quote and we will price the delivery with it.
Free courier over R8,000
When your order comes to R8,000 or more and weighs 10 kg or less, courier is free. The discount is applied at checkout automatically. Orders over 10 kg pay the normal rate for their weight.
Collect from a branch
Choose collection at checkout and pick Hatfield or Wonderboom. Collection is free. We send you a message when your order is ready, so please wait for it before you come in, and bring your order number.

LP gas delivery in Pretoria
We don't courier LP gas. Instead, our own driver delivers every cylinder size, from 3 kg to 48 kg, from the Alectra branch nearest to you. The fee depends on how far you are from that branch by road, and checkout works it out for your address before you pay.

Orders placed before 12:00 are delivered the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 go out the next business day, and we don't deliver on Sundays or public holidays. The driver brings the full cylinder to where you need it, connects it to your regulator and takes the empty away, at no extra charge. You can check your fee on the LP gas page, or order online and collect at Hatfield, Wonderboom or Menlyn.
When your order includes an LP gas cylinder, the driver brings everything else in that order along too, for the same delivery fee. Orders without a cylinder go by courier or collection.
Tracking your parcel
When The Courier Guy collects your parcel, we email you the tracking number so you can follow it to your door.
Before you order
- Check that your delivery address is complete, with the street number, suburb and postal code. A wrong or incomplete address can hold up your parcel.
- Make sure someone is there to receive the parcel, because the courier may ask for a signature.
- Business address? Add the company name and any gate or unit details the driver will need.
