Of our electric fence angle brackets this is the 6 line bottom bend: a black square tube that bends near the base, so the section carrying the six lines leans out over the wall. The short plain leg below the bend has two fixing holes and goes on the inside face of the boundary wall. The 8 line bottom bend is the same pattern with two more lines, and the 6 line top bend stays upright with only a short bend at the top. Six bobbins come fitted. Some people call it a 6 wire angle bracket.
Bottom bend, top bend or straight?
All our 6 line square tube brackets come in three patterns. The bottom bend, this one, angles the full line section out over the wall. The top bend runs straight with a short bend at the top. The 6 line straight bracket stands upright in line with the wall. Our 6 line 20m fence kit lets you pick any of the three for its nine brackets.
Fit it on the inside of the wall
Angled brackets are fixed on the inside of the boundary wall, so the lines lean over your own property or, with the neighbour's agreement, over theirs. The legal maximum outward angle in South Africa is 45 degrees; we do not publish a measured angle for this bracket, so your installer checks the lean on site.
Fixing and bracing
Fixings are not included. The leg has two holes; our kits put these brackets up with 8 x 80mm nail-in anchors on brick and concrete, and on a steel post or frame you would use tek screws. Brace it at corners, ends, steps and gate posts with the 750mm stay with sleeve and screws.
Bobbins fitted
Six stepped bobbins sit on the angled section, so there are no insulators to buy or fit. We sell the flat bar bobbin insulator singly if you ever need a replacement.
Rules to know before you buy
In South Africa an electric fence must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the certificate of compliance. Alectra supplies the equipment only. A fence on top of a wall must stand at least 1.5m above the ground, and warning signs go at every gate and access point and no more than 10m apart.
Pairs well with
Run the fence from the Nemtek Wizord 4i energizer or, for a bigger property, the Nemtek Merlin Stealth M18S, with 1.6mm aluminium fence wire and a gold 8kg spring tensioner on each line.
Key features
- Bends near the base. The plain leg fixes to the wall and everything above the bend, all six lines, leans out over it.
- Six lines on one bracket. The size for a six strand wall-top fence. The 8 line bottom bend adds two more lines.
- Black square tube. Hollow square steel tube with a black finish.
- Bobbins come fitted. Six stepped bobbins are already on the angled section. Replacements are sold singly.
- Two fixing holes. The plain leg has two holes for the wall fixings, which are sold separately.
- Goes on the inside of the wall. Angled brackets are fixed on the inside face of the boundary wall, with the neighbour's consent if they lean into their property.
- Takes the 750mm stay. Brace it at corners, ends, steps and gate posts with our 750mm stay with sleeve and screws.
- One of the kit options. Choose bottom bend for the nine brackets in our 6 line 20m fence kit.

Questions people ask
A bracket that bends close to its base. The short leg below the bend fixes to the wall and the long section above it, which carries all six lines, leans out over the wall. The top bend bracket is the opposite: upright for most of its length with a short bend at the top.
On the inside of the boundary wall, so the lines lean over your side. If they lean into the neighbour's property, the neighbour must agree.
We do not publish a measured angle for this bracket. The maximum outward angle allowed in South Africa is 45 degrees, and a registered installer checks the lean when the fence is certified.
Yes, six stepped bobbins are fitted on the angled section. If one is damaged later, we sell the flat bar bobbin insulator singly as a replacement.
Fixings are not included. The leg has two holes. Our kits use 8 x 80mm nail-in anchors on brick and concrete; on steel posts use tek screws. Brace corners, ends, steps and gate posts with the 750mm stay.
Same pattern and tube, two fewer lines. Pick the 8 line when you want the fence higher above the wall.
You can buy the parts, but the fence must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the certificate of compliance. Alectra supplies the equipment only.
