This 6 line electric fence kit covers about 20 metres of wall-top fence and is built around the Nemtek Wizord 4i, a single zone energizer rated at 3.7 joules into a 500 ohm load, with its 12V 7Ah backup battery and tag in the box. You get nine 6 line square tube brackets, and you choose the bend: straight, top bend or bottom bend. Wire, springs, earth spikes, lightning diverter, warning light, siren, signs, anchors, stays and 50m of HT cable are all in the box. Supply only: a registered electric fence installer must fit and certify the fence. For eight lines over 30m, see the 8 line kit.
What's in the kit
- 1 x Nemtek Wizord 4i energizer, with its 12V 7Ah battery, tag and 4 nail-in anchors in the box
- 9 x 6 line square tube brackets, black, in the bend you choose: straight, top bend or bottom bend
- 1 x 1.6mm aluminium fence wire, 500m roll
- 12 x silver compression springs
- 50 x S-hooks, 2mm
- 100 x aluminium ferrules, 6mm
- 4 x electric fence warning signs
- 4 x copper earth spikes, 1.2m
- 1 x double pole lightning diverter
- 1 x timed warning light
- 1 x 12V 15W siren
- 50 x nail-in anchors, 8 x 80mm
- 1 x HT cable, 50m
- 4 x 750mm stays with sleeve and screws
Choose your bracket bend
The nine brackets are the same black square tube in one of three patterns. Straight stands upright, in line with the wall. Top bend is upright with a short bend at the top. Bottom bend bends near the base so all six lines lean out over the wall; angled brackets go on the inside of the boundary wall and need the neighbour's consent if they lean into their property. Pick the bracket type when you order; it does not change anything else in the kit.
Not included
Gate contacts, if the fence crosses a gate: add a sliding gate contact. A crimping tool for the ferrules. Line clamps if you prefer bolted joins. The Nemtek Connect WiFi gateway for phone control. And the installation itself: Alectra supplies the equipment only.
How the quantities work out
Nine brackets over 20m gives eight gaps of 2.5m, inside the usual guide of no more than 3m between brackets. Six lines over 20m uses about 120m of the 500m roll, which leaves plenty for joins, ends and the run to the energizer. Twelve springs is two per line. Four signs covers 20m at the required spacing of no more than 10m, plus the gate. Four stays are for the brackets that take the strain: corners, ends and the gate post.
The energizer
The Wizord 4i runs on 240V mains and keeps the fence live for about 24 hours on its built-in 12V 7Ah battery when the power goes off. Nemtek rates it at 3.7 J (500 ohm load) with an 8000V open-circuit voltage. It has one gate input, siren and strobe outputs, an alarm relay, status lights and the tag to arm and disarm it, works with the Nemtek Connect app through the gateway sold separately, and carries a 2 year Nemtek warranty. It is rated IPx4, so mount it under cover.
Supply only, and the rules
In South Africa an electric fence must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the certificate of compliance. A wall-top fence must stand at least 1.5m above the ground, and warning signs go at every gate and access point and no more than 10m apart. Alectra supplies the kit; your installer does the rest.

Questions people ask
Yes. The Nemtek Wizord 4i comes with its 12V 7Ah backup battery, the tag that arms and disarms it, and 4 nail-in anchors in its box.
Straight keeps the fence in line with the wall and is the safe choice on a shared boundary. Top bend is upright with a short bend at the top. Bottom bend leans all six lines out over the wall; it goes on the inside of the boundary wall and needs the neighbour's consent if it leans into their property. State your choice when you order.
No. In South Africa the fence must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the certificate of compliance. Alectra supplies the equipment only.
Six lines over 20m is about 120m. The 500m roll is the smaller of the two rolls we stock, so the rest is spare for joins, ends, the run to the energizer and future repairs.
The signs, stays and anchors allow for a gate post, but gate contacts are not included. Add a sliding gate contact if the fence has to cross a sliding gate.
Nemtek rates it at 3.7 joules into a 500 ohm load, so that is the figure we quote.
The Wizord 4i keeps the fence live for about 24 hours on its built-in battery, which recharges when the mains comes back.
Yes. Every bracket, bobbin, spring and sign in the kit is also sold on its own, so you can extend the fence or replace a part without buying another kit.
