The Sentry A6 Max is a sliding gate motor for home and light industrial gates up to 600kg and 30m long. It runs on 220V mains, sets its own gate limits, and has a backlit LCD screen on the controller, so setup and changes are quick. Choose the basic gate motor kit, or the full kit that adds a 4m steel rack and the A6 Max anti-theft bracket.

Which kit do you need?

  • Basic kit: A6 Max motor, 2 Sentry 4-button remotes and the base plate. A good fit if your gate already has a rack.
  • Full kit with steel rack: everything in the basic kit, plus a 4m steel rack (2 x 2m) and the A6 Max anti-theft bracket.

Battery backup is optional

The A6 Max runs on mains power without a battery, so no battery is included. If you want the gate to keep working during power cuts, add a 12V 7Ah battery. It fits inside the motor and the A6 Max keeps it charged.

Opening figures are Sentry's, measured on a 4m, 500kg gate with a fully charged battery. For longer backup, Sentry also offers an optional 12V 18Ah battery pack, rated at about 500 openings.

Make it smart

Add the Gemini Gemlink Lite to open the gate from your phone over Bluetooth or WiFi. The A6 Max also has a plug-in slot for a GSM/Bluetooth or WiFi module, and with the optional module fitted you can get push notifications on your phone.

Built with security in mind

The built-in code-hopping receiver stores up to 500 remote buttons. The Anti-Tamper Alarm has an adjustable Tamper Impact Force, so you can set how sensitive it is to tampering, and you can set a remote button as a panic button.

Does the Sentry A6 Max work without a battery?

Yes. It runs on 220V mains on its own. A battery is only needed if you want the gate to keep working during power cuts, and the motor keeps it charged.

Which battery should I add?

A 12V 7Ah lithium battery gives about 100 openings in a power cut and a 12V 7Ah sealed lead acid battery about 50, according to Sentry's figures for a 4m, 500kg gate. Both fit inside the motor. For longer backup, Sentry's optional 12V 18Ah battery pack is rated at about 500 openings.

What is the difference between the basic kit and the full kit?

Both come with the A6 Max motor, 2 Sentry 4-button remotes and the base plate. The full kit adds a 4m steel rack (2 x 2m) and the A6 Max anti-theft bracket.

Can I use a nylon rack?

Yes. The A6 Max works with steel or nylon rack. Choose the basic kit and add 2m nylon racks.

Which remotes work with the A6 Max?

Sentry code-hopping remotes (KeeLoq, 433MHz, about 40m range). The receiver stores up to 500 buttons, and you can add Sentry 1, 3 or 4-button remotes at any time.

Can I open the gate from my phone?
