This 2m nylon gate motor rack is a nylon rack for a sliding gate, with black nylon teeth fixed to a galvanised steel angle. That is why it is also called nylon angle rack. The angle screws along the gate and the motor's pinion runs on the teeth to open and close it. Nylon teeth run quieter than steel and do not rust. Is nylon rack for a sliding gate right for your motor?
Go by the motor, not only the gate. The Centurion Systems installation manual gives this rule for nylon angle rack:
- Suits: Centurion Systems D3, D5-Evo and D6 SMART or SMART+.
- Not recommended: Centurion Systems D10, D10 Turbo and D20. Use steel rack on these motors.

How many 2m lengths do you need?
Measure the full length of the gate, divide by 2m and round up. A 5m gate, for example, takes three lengths. The lengths butt together end to end, so you can run the rack as far as the gate needs.
Fitting the nylon angle rack
Fix the angle to the gate with TEK screws through every hole in the angle, not only a few of them. Butt each new length tight against the last one so the teeth carry on evenly across the join. Then set a gap of 2 to 3mm between the rack and the pinion along the full length of the gate. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.

Nylon angle rack is the quieter choice on a home driveway, and the nylon teeth will not rust in coastal or wet spots. Steel is the choice for the Centurion Systems D10, D10 Turbo and D20. The Gemini steel rack is made for Gemini sliding gate motors; with any other make, check the pinion first.
