What the Centurion Systems D6 SMART+ gate motor is built for
Centurion Systems makes the D6 SMART+ for residential and light-industrial sliding gates. It moves gates up to 600kg and 100m long at up to 35 m/min (30 m/min rated), and it is rated for 150 operations a day at a 50% duty cycle. Push force is 30 kgf starting and 17 kgf rated, the same as the D5-Evo SMART+. The difference is the gate mass: the D5-Evo SMART+ is rated to 500kg and the D6 SMART+ to 600kg.
24V power and batteries
The D6 SMART+ runs on 24V from 2 x 12V 7Ah batteries, so the gate keeps working during load-shedding as long as the batteries have charge. The batteries are not included: add 2 x Centurion Systems 12V 7.2Ah batteries.
Rack, foundation plate and anti-theft bracket
The motor drives the gate through a 17-tooth steel pinion, so steel, RAZ or nylon rack all fit. Rack is sold separately, and so is the foundation plate: the D3, D5-Evo and D6 SMART+ base plate is the one for this motor. To make the motor harder to steal, add the D6 SMART anti-theft bracket.
Wi-Fi, app setup and SMART accessories
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (BLE) are built in, so there is no add-on module to buy before you can link the motor to a phone. Setup runs through the MyCentsys Pro app, and everyday use and gate status through the MyCentsys Remote app. The controller has 6 I/O, and Centurion Systems lists these SMART accessories for the D6 SMART+: Photon SMART wireless beams, the SMART Siren, the GLX900 and the SMART PowerPack. The housing is rated IP55.
