The HiLook THC-T120-PC is the indoor camera in this range: a 2MP 1080p Turbo HD turret dome camera from Hikvision's HiLook brand, made for a ceiling or wall inside a shop, office, passage or garage. It has Smart IR night vision up to 20 metres, a 2.8mm lens and the same 4-in-1 coax output as the HiLook bullets, so it plugs into a HiLook or Hikvision Turbo HD DVR. It has no weather rating and is for indoor use only. Alectra supplies the camera; the power supply, cable, connectors and DVR are bought separately and fitted by your installer.
What's in the box
- 1 x HiLook THC-T120-PC 2MP turret dome camera, 2.8mm lens, on its turret base
Hikvision's datasheet lists no other contents. The 12V power supply, RG59 cable, BNC and DC connectors and the DVR are sold separately.
Which HiLook camera do you need?
Choose this turret when the camera sits inside and black and white night vision is fine. For colour at night indoors, the HiLook 2MP ColorVu indoor turret swaps the IR for an F1.0 lens and a white light. For an outside wall, go to the IP66 bullets: the HiLook 2MP Turbo HD bullet with IR, the HiLook 2MP ColorVu bullet with white light, or the HiLook 2MP dual light bullet with IR, white light and a built-in mic.
Indoor use only
Hikvision lists the THC-T120-PC as an indoor camera and gives it no IP rating, so it must not go outside, in a wet area or under an eave that leaks; the plastic body is not sealed against rain or dust. Its rated working range is -40°C to 60°C, so a hot ceiling or a cold storeroom is not a problem. The turret base pans 360°, tilts 75° and rotates 360°, and at Ø85 x 76mm and 130g it sits quietly in the corner of a room.
Night vision: Smart IR to 20 metres
In a dark room the IR lights up to 20 metres, enough for most rooms, passages and shop floors, and the picture goes to black and white. Smart IR dials the infrared back for someone standing right under the camera so their face is not over-exposed. Minimum illumination is 0.02 lux with the AGC on and 0 lux with the IR on. Digital WDR and backlight compensation handle a window or glass door behind the person you want to see.
Connecting it to a DVR
The camera has one HD analogue video output and a switch button to set it to TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS, so it matches a HiLook or Hikvision Turbo HD DVR such as the HiLook 4 channel Turbo HD DVR or the HiLook 8 channel eSSD DVR. It does not work with an NVR and has no PoE: power is 12V DC only, at a maximum of 2.1W. Run RG59 with a power pair from the DVR, crimp a BNC connector on the video core, fit a DC connector on the power pair and power it from a Hikvision CCTV power supply. Where the building is already wired with CAT6, a pair of passive video baluns carries the video on that cable instead. The system is installed by your installer; Alectra supplies the equipment only.
Key features
- 1080p turret for indoors. A 2MP CMOS sensor records 1920 x 1080 at 25 frames a second in a small turret body made for ceilings and walls inside.
- Smart IR to 20 metres. Infrared covers a room or passage up to 20m at night and dims itself for anyone close to the lens.
- Switch button for 4-in-1. A button on the camera sets the output to TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS to match the DVR channel.
- Digital WDR and BLC. Keeps a face visible against a bright window or glass door behind it.
- Low power 12V DC. Draws a maximum of 2.1W from a 12V DC supply, with no PoE.
- Small and light. Ø85 x 76mm and 130g, with a base that pans 360°, tilts 75° and rotates 360°.
- Wide 2.8mm lens. A 92° horizontal field of view takes in most of a room from a corner.

Questions people ask
No. Hikvision lists the THC-T120-PC as an indoor camera and gives it no IP rating. For outside use take one of the IP66 HiLook bullets.
HiLook is a Hikvision brand, so this camera is made by Hikvision and uses the same Turbo HD coax system as Hikvision's own DVRs and cameras. The THC-T120-PC is Hikvision's indoor 2MP IR turret in the HiLook range.
No. It is an analogue HD camera over coax and needs a Turbo HD DVR. An NVR only takes network (IP) cameras.
No, there is no microphone. For sound over the same coax, see the HiLook 2MP dual light bullet (THC-B127-LPS).
No. The box holds the camera only. You need a 12V DC supply, RG59 cable with a power pair, a BNC connector and a DC connector, all sold separately.
No. With the IR on, the picture is black and white. The HiLook 2MP ColorVu indoor turret (THC-T129-P) records in colour at night using a white light.
Hikvision calls this a turret: a ball-shaped camera that swivels in a round base, with no clear dome cover over the lens. It is sold as a dome camera because that is what most people call it.
The 2.8mm wide angle, with a 92° horizontal view. HiLook also makes a 3.6mm version of this model, which is not this listing.
