The Sentry 1 button self-learning remote copies your existing Sentry 403MHz remote. Hold the two remotes close together, follow the button sequence, and the code copies across in seconds. There are no DIP switches to set and no need to open the case. It is the easy way to replace a lost or worn Sentry binary or trinary remote. For three buttons, see the Sentry 3 button self-learning remote.
Which remotes can it copy?
It learns Sentry's older unencrypted 403MHz codes: binary, trinary and SMART. That includes the Sentry 1 button binary remote and the 3 button binary remote. It does not copy code hopping remotes. For those, see the Sentry dual frequency learning remote.
How the copy works
The remote has its own receiver inside. Hold your old remote close to it, use the button sequence in the leaflet in the box, and the LED flashes once the new code is stored. Alectra Solutions supplies the remote only.
Range, battery and warranty
Sentry gives the range as about 40m. It runs on one 12V A23 battery and carries Sentry's 24 month carry-in warranty, batteries excluded. In the photos it has a grey case with one white button; the circuit board is marked Sentry Learn L1.
