The DTS MS5 is a grey energizer weatherproof box for an electric fence energizer that has to go on an exposed wall. Most energizers are made for indoor or covered mounting: the DTS Megashock 5 is an indoor unit and the Nemtek Merlin Stealth M18S is rated IPx4, so neither should be fixed where rain can reach it, and the same goes for the IPx4 rated Nemtek Wizord 4i and Druid 15 LCD. The MS5 box takes all four and keeps the weather off them. This listing is for the box only; the energizer, its battery and the wall fixings are sold separately.
Which energizers fit
DTS makes the MS5 box for its own Megashock 5 energizer, and Alectra has confirmed that the Nemtek Merlin Stealth M18S, the Nemtek Wizord 4i and the Nemtek Druid 15 LCD fit too. Those are the energizers we can vouch for. All four have the backup battery inside the energizer casing, so the whole unit goes into the box as one piece. For any other energizer, including the Merlin Stealth M28S, ask the branch before you order.
What DTS says about it
DTS publishes the name, the code (WPHENER) and the colour, and nothing more. We therefore do not quote an IP rating, a material, a lock or a mounting kit for this box. If one of those matters for your site, ask the branch before you buy rather than taking it on trust.
Box only
The box ships empty. You still need the energizer, HT cable to and from the fence, an earth spike and fixings for your wall. The fence and its mains connection must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the electric fence system certificate. Alectra supplies the equipment only.
