This is the single lens solar camera on WiFi that you can turn from your phone: a pan-tilt head that moves 355 degrees across and 90 degrees up and down, a separate solar panel and a built-in battery, so it needs no mains power. It joins 2.4GHz WiFi. A PIR sensor picks up movement, IR LEDs and a light that comes on with motion cover the night, and two-way audio lets you talk to whoever is at the gate. It records to a microSD card of up to 128GB in an IP66 housing. Where there is no WiFi, the 4G SIM version runs on a SIM card instead.

WiFi, 4G or plug-in: which camera do you need?
Choose this outdoor WiFi camera with solar when your WiFi reaches the spot but mains power does not. The 4G SIM solar PTZ security camera does the same job on a SIM card where there is no WiFi. If one fixed view is enough, the solar WiFi bullet camera has its panel built on top. 2.4GHz WiFi only
The camera joins 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5GHz, so the 2.4GHz signal from your router has to reach the mounting spot. Check it on your phone at the spot before you mount the camera. The camera itself runs on solar, but it sends video over your WiFi, so during load shedding your router needs backup power too.
Solar panel and battery
The panel is separate from the camera, so it can be angled at the sun, usually facing north in South Africa, while the camera points where you need it. It charges the built-in battery, which runs the camera at night. The battery size is not stated, so we do not quote a standby time: it depends on how much sun the panel gets.
Motion light, night vision and audio
The PIR sensor reacts to body heat and movement and sends an alert to your phone. When it picks up movement the LED light comes on, and the IR LEDs give a black and white picture in the dark. Two-way audio lets you listen and talk through the camera. Recordings go to a microSD card of up to 128GB, sold separately, and the IP66 housing is made for an outside wall.
