This is the solar CCTV camera on WiFi with nothing to wire: a fixed bullet camera with the solar panel built on top and a battery inside, so no power cable runs to it at all. Unlike the PTZ cameras in our range it does not pan or tilt. You aim it once at a gate, driveway or fence line and it watches that view. A PIR motion sensor beside the lens sends alerts to your phone, a light switches on with motion, IR night vision covers the dark, and the housing is rated IP66.

Which solar camera do you need?
This bullet is the simplest of our solar cameras: one fixed view and the panel on the camera itself, so there is no separate panel to mount. If you want to turn the camera from your phone, the solar WiFi PTZ security camera pans 355 degrees and has its own separate panel. Where there is no WiFi, the 4G SIM solar PTZ security camera uses a SIM card instead. Solar panel and battery
The panel on top charges the built-in battery in daylight, and the battery runs the camera at night and on dull days. The battery size and panel output are not stated, so we do not quote a standby time: how long it keeps going through a run of cloudy days depends on how much sun the panel gets. Fit it where the panel sees direct sun for most of the day, which in South Africa usually means facing north.
Motion sensor, light and night vision
The PIR sensor reacts to body heat and movement and sends an alert to your phone, so a person, a dog or a warm car engine can set it off. When it picks up movement a light switches on, and the IR night vision gives a black and white picture in the dark.
WiFi and mounting
The camera joins your WiFi network through its two antennas, so it needs a usable WiFi signal at the mounting spot: check it on your phone there first. The IP66 housing is made for an outside wall. Alectra supplies the equipment only: mounting and app setup are done by you or your installer.
