Regular price R 995.00

This dual lens camera on WiFi pairs a fixed upper lens with a pan-tilt lower lens and shows both as two live screens in the V380 Pro app. What sets it apart from our other dual lens solar PTZ camera is radar detection on top of the PIR sensor and an IP66 rating. It gives colour and IR night vision, joins 2.4GHz WiFi through two antennas, and runs off a built-in battery charged by a separate solar panel on its own wall bracket, so it needs no mains power.

What's in the box

  • Dual lens solar WiFi PTZ camera with 2 antennas
  • Separate solar panel with its own wall bracket

The microSD card is not included.

Which dual or triple lens camera do you need?

Both dual lens cameras in our range put a fixed lens over a pan-tilt lens and show two live screens. This white and black model adds radar to its PIR detection, is rated IP66 and runs on 2.4GHz WiFi with the V380 Pro app. The black dual lens solar PTZ camera is the one with a stated 8W panel and 8000mAh battery, PIR human detection and IP65. For three live screens, see the solar triple lens camera. For one lens you turn from your phone, see the solar WiFi PTZ security camera, the 4G SIM solar PTZ security camera or the plug-in outdoor WiFi PTZ camera with auto tracking. The solar WiFi bullet camera is a fixed solar camera with its panel on top.

PIR plus radar detection

The camera uses a PIR sensor and radar to pick up movement and send alerts to your phone through the V380 Pro app. The PIR sensor reacts to body heat, so a dog or a warm car engine close to the camera can still set it off.

Colour and IR night vision

The camera has both colour and IR night vision. With its white LEDs on, the night picture is in colour; in IR mode it is black and white.

Solar panel, battery and WiFi

The solar panel sits on its own wall bracket and joins the camera by a cable, so it can be angled at the sun, usually facing north in South Africa. It charges the built-in battery, which runs the camera at night. The battery size and panel output are not stated, so we do not quote a standby time. The camera joins 2.4GHz WiFi only, not 5GHz, so check that your router's 2.4GHz signal reaches the spot. Recordings go to a microSD card (not included) or to the cloud option in the app, which may be a paid plan. The IP66 housing is made for an outside wall. Alectra supplies the equipment only: mounting and app setup are done by you or your installer.

Questions people ask
Is the solar panel built into the camera?

No. The panel is separate, on its own wall bracket, and joins the camera by a cable, so it can face the sun while the camera points where you need it.

Does this dual lens camera work on 5GHz WiFi?

No. It joins 2.4GHz WiFi only.

Which app does it use?

V380 Pro. You use it to watch both live screens, turn the lower lens and get motion alerts.

Do I have to pay for cloud recording?

Cloud storage in the app is usually a paid plan; check the app for the options. Recording to a microSD card (not included) does not need a cloud plan.

How is it different from the dual lens solar PTZ camera?

This one is white and black, adds radar to its PIR detection, uses the V380 Pro app on 2.4GHz WiFi and is rated IP66. The other is black, with a stated 8W panel, an 8000mAh battery and IP65.

How long does the battery last?

The battery size is not stated, so we do not quote a standby time. It depends on how much sun the panel gets.

Does it work during load shedding?

The camera runs on its own panel and battery, so it does not need the mains. It sends video over your WiFi, though, so your router must stay powered too, for example on a UPS.

Do you install it?

No. Alectra supplies the camera and panel only. You or your installer mount it and set it up.
