This outdoor WiFi PTZ camera is the plug-in model in our WiFi and solar range: it runs off the mains through the power adapter in the box, with no solar panel and no battery, so it never depends on sun or a battery charge. You pan it 355 degrees and tilt it 90 degrees from your phone in the CareCamPro app, or switch on auto tracking so the head turns to follow movement. It has two WiFi antennas, two-way audio, IR night vision and an IP65 housing, and records to a microSD card of up to 128GB or to the cloud.

Plug-in, solar or 4G: which camera do you need?
Pick this PTZ camera when there is a plug point and good WiFi close to the spot. Where no power reaches the spot, the solar WiFi PTZ security camera also pans 355 degrees and tilts 90 degrees, but runs from its own solar panel and battery. If there is no WiFi either, the 4G SIM solar PTZ security camera connects over a SIM card. For one fixed view of a gate or wall with no cables at all, look at the solar WiFi bullet camera. Pan, tilt and auto tracking
The head pans 355 degrees and tilts 90 degrees. It has one lens, so it looks in one direction at a time: you move it from the CareCamPro app, or turn on auto tracking so the camera follows movement it picks up. Two-way audio lets you listen in and talk through the camera from your phone, for example to answer someone at the gate.
Night vision, recording and power
At night the camera switches to infrared and records in black and white. Recordings go to a microSD card of up to 128GB (sold separately) or to cloud storage in the app; check the app for the cloud plans and what they cost. The camera runs only off its mains adapter and has no battery, so when the power goes off for load shedding the camera goes off too, unless the plug point is on an inverter or UPS.
Where to mount it
The housing is rated IP65 against dust and water jets, so it can go on an outside wall or under an eave. Mount it where the adapter reaches a plug point and where your WiFi signal is strong: check the signal on your phone at the spot first. Alectra supplies the equipment only: mounting and app setup are done by you or your installer.
