This 20mm PVC junction box 1 way is a round white end box with a single 20mm entry on the side, for the end of a conduit run. The round lid fixes with 2 screws. If the conduit carries on past the box, use the 2 way junction box for a straight run, or the 3 way tee junction box where a branch goes off at 90 degrees.

Where a 1 way PVC junction box goes

Use it where a 20mm conduit run stops: at an outside light, a camera, an alarm sensor or a light point on a wall. The cable comes along the conduit, in through the side entry, and the connection is made inside the box.

Fitting the conduit

The side entry takes 20mm PVC conduit. Push the conduit into the entry, or glue it with PVC solvent cement for a firmer joint. Join lengths of conduit along the way with a 20mm coupling.

The lid

The round lid sits on top and fixes with 2 screws, so you can open it again later to check or change the connection.

Where the conduit carries mains wiring, the work must be done by a registered electrician who issues a Certificate of Compliance (CoC). Alectra Solutions supplies the fittings only and does not install.

What is the difference between the 1, 2 and 3 way junction boxes?

The number of conduit entries. The 1 way has one, for the end of a run. The 2 way has two opposite each other for a straight run. The 3 way has three in a tee: two in line and one at 90 degrees.

Is the lid included?

Yes. The round lid comes with the box and fixes with 2 screws.

Will 25mm conduit fit this PVC junction box?

No. The entry is 20mm, made for 20mm PVC conduit.

Do I need to glue the conduit in?

The conduit pushes into the entry. For a firmer joint, glue it with PVC solvent cement.

Can I wire it myself?

Mains wiring must be done by a registered electrician who issues a CoC. Alectra Solutions supplies the box only and does not install.
