Of the HiLook CCTV kits for sale at Alectra, this is the biggest: sixteen HiLook THC-B120-PC 2MP bullet cameras on a HiLook DVR-E16G-B with 1TB of eSSD storage built in, a Hikvision 16 channel power supply, two 100m rolls of RG59 cable with power, 32 BNC connectors, 16 DC plugs and 16 junction boxes. It is meant for bigger sites, such as a large home, a smallholding, a workshop or a shop, where four or eight cameras will not cover everything. The 200m of cable works out to about 12.5m per camera. For smaller sites, see the 4 channel kit or the 8 channel kit. Monitor not included.
What's in the 16 channel kit
- 16 x HiLook THC-B120-PC 2MP bullet cameras
- 1 x HiLook DVR-E16G-B 16 channel DVR with 1TB eSSD, with its own 12V power adapter
- 1 x Hikvision DS-2FA1208-C16 16 channel power supply
- 2 x 100m rolls of RG59 cable with power
- 32 x screw type BNC connectors
- 16 x DC plugs
- 16 x junction boxes, one per camera
No monitor is included. The BNC connectors are the screw type, so they go on with a small screwdriver and no crimping tool is needed. Spare screw type BNC connectors and DC male connectors are sold separately.
Cable runs and power
Every camera has its own RG59 run: the picture travels back to the DVR on the coax core and 12V goes out from the power supply on the power pair. Each camera takes two BNC connectors, one at each end of the coax, and one DC plug at the camera, while the power pair lands on the power supply's terminal block. A junction box behind each camera holds the joints. Two 100m rolls shared by sixteen cameras average about 12.5m a run, so the kit suits cameras grouped around a central DVR position. Measure every run first and add RG59 rolls if the total comes to more than 200m.
The Hikvision DS-2FA1208-C16 gives 12V DC at up to 1A per output and 8A (96W) in total, so the sixteen outputs share the load. Sixteen THC-B120-PC bullets at no more than 2.1W each need about 2.8A, well inside that. Your installer can set its cable length switch from 12V to 13.5V or 15V for long runs. It has a plastic case and no weatherproof rating, so mount it indoors with the DVR.
The DVR and its 1TB of storage
The DVR-E16G-B is HiLook's 16 channel eSSD recorder. It has 1TB of storage built in at the factory, 960GB of it usable, so there is no hard drive to buy or fit. There is no hard drive bay either, so the storage cannot be added to or swapped. It records all sixteen cameras at 1080p Lite, a lower resolution than full 1080p, at 15 frames a second, with H.265 Pro compression, and Motion Detection 2.0 picks out people and vehicles. Plug a monitor or TV into its HDMI output, and connect it to your router with a network cable to view the cameras on the Hik-Connect app. It also takes sound over coax from cameras with a mic, such as the HiLook 2MP dual light bullet; the bullets in this kit have no microphone.
The cameras
The sixteen THC-B120-PC bullets are 2MP 1080p Turbo HD cameras in plastic IP66 housings, rated from -40°C to 60°C, for outside walls, eaves and poles. They are the same cameras we sell on their own as the HiLook 2MP Turbo HD bullet, with a 2.8mm lens and a 92° horizontal view. Smart IR covers up to 20 metres at night in black and white and dims for close subjects, and digital WDR with backlight compensation helps where a gate or doorway is brighter than the person in front of it. The 4-in-1 output (TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS) suits HiLook and Hikvision Turbo HD DVRs. The cameras do not work with NVRs and run on 12V DC only, with no PoE.
Not included, and supply only
You need a monitor or TV with an HDMI input and the cable for it, a network cable and a router with internet for phone viewing, and a tool to strip the coax. There is no battery in the kit, so to record through load shedding the cameras and the DVR both need backup power sized for sixteen cameras, which your installer can specify. Alectra supplies the equipment only; the kit is installed by your installer.

HiLook gives no fixed figure for this model. It depends on the scene, how much movement there is and the recording settings, so ask your installer to set it up for the number of days you want.
Not on its own. There is no battery in the kit, so the cameras and the DVR switch off with the mains. Both need backup power to keep recording, which your installer can add.
