This HiLook 4 channel kit is the smallest of our three HiLook CCTV kits, sized for a home or small shop with four spots to watch. You get four HiLook THC-B120-PC 2MP bullet cameras, a HiLook DVR-E04G-B recorder with 330GB of eSSD storage built in, a Hikvision 4 channel power supply, 100m of RG59 cable with power, and the connectors and junction boxes to join it all up. Shared by four cameras, the 100m roll gives each one about 25m of cable. Add a monitor or TV, and your installer fits the rest. For more cameras, see the 8 channel kit or the 16 channel kit.
What's in the HiLook 4 channel kit
- 4 x HiLook THC-B120-PC 2MP bullet cameras
- 1 x HiLook DVR-E04G-B 4 channel DVR with 330GB eSSD, with its own 12V power adapter
- 1 x Hikvision DS-2FA1225-C4 4 channel power supply
- 1 x 100m roll of RG59 cable with power
- 8 x screw type BNC connectors
- 4 x DC plugs
- 4 x junction boxes, one per camera
No monitor or TV is included. The BNC connectors are the screw type, so they go on with a small screwdriver and no crimping tool is needed. Spare screw type BNC connectors and DC male connectors are sold separately if you need extra joins.
How the kit connects
Each camera gets its own run of RG59. The coax core carries the picture back to the DVR and the built-in power pair carries 12V out from the power supply, so one cable does both jobs. That is why there are two BNC connectors per camera, one at the camera and one at the DVR, and one DC plug per camera: at the other end the power pair goes into the power supply's terminal block. A junction box behind each camera holds the BNC and DC joints.
The Hikvision DS-2FA1225-C4 gives 12V DC at up to 1A on each of its four outputs, 48W in total, and a THC-B120-PC draws no more than 2.1W, so the four cameras use less than a fifth of what it can deliver. Split evenly, the 100m roll gives about 25m per camera. Measure each run from where the DVR will stand, and if the total comes to more than 100m, add another roll. On a long run your installer can set the cable length switch on the power supply from 12V to 13.5V or 15V. The power supply has no weatherproof rating and works from 0°C to 40°C, so it belongs indoors with the DVR.
The DVR and its built-in storage
The DVR-E04G-B is HiLook's 4 channel eSSD recorder. Its 330GB of storage, 300GB of it usable, is built in at the factory, so there is no hard drive to buy or fit. There is also no hard drive bay, so the storage cannot be added to or swapped. It records at 1080p Lite, a lower resolution than full 1080p, at 15 frames a second by default, with H.265 Pro compression, and Motion Detection 2.0 picks out people and vehicles to cut false alerts from leaves and lights. On top of the four coax cameras it takes one IP camera up to 1080p. A monitor or TV goes on the HDMI or VGA output, and a network cable from the DVR to your router lets you watch live and play back footage on the Hik-Connect app.
The DVR can also record sound over coax from a camera with a mic, such as the HiLook 2MP dual light bullet, but the bullets in this kit have no microphone. If you would rather choose your own storage, the HiLook 4 channel Turbo HD DVR is sold without a hard drive and takes one drive up to 4TB; it is not part of this kit.
The cameras
The THC-B120-PC is a 2MP 1080p Turbo HD bullet in a plastic IP66 housing, rated from -40°C to 60°C, for an outside wall, an eave or a pole. These are the same cameras we sell on their own as the HiLook 2MP Turbo HD bullet, with a 2.8mm lens and a 92° horizontal view. Smart IR lights the scene up to 20 metres at night in black and white and turns itself down for anything close to the lens, so a face at the gate is not washed out. Digital WDR and backlight compensation help when someone stands in front of a bright gate or doorway. Its 4-in-1 output (TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS) works with HiLook and Hikvision Turbo HD DVRs, not with NVRs, and it runs on 12V DC only, with no PoE.
Not included, and supply only
You need a monitor or TV with an HDMI or VGA input and the cable for it, a network cable and a router with internet for phone viewing, and a tool to strip the coax. Nothing in the kit keeps it running when the power goes off: to record through load shedding, both the cameras and the DVR need backup power, which your installer can add. Alectra supplies the equipment only; the kit is installed by your installer.

Questions people ask
No. Connect a monitor or TV with an HDMI or VGA input to the DVR. The screen and its cable are not part of the kit.
No. The DVR-E04G-B has 330GB of eSSD storage built in, 300GB of it usable. There is no hard drive bay, so the storage cannot be added to or swapped.
HiLook gives no fixed figure for this model. It depends on the scene, how much movement there is and the recording settings, so ask your installer to set it up for the number of days you want.
Yes. Connect the DVR's network port to your router with a network cable and add the DVR to the Hik-Connect app. The router, cable and internet connection are not part of the kit.
It suits a house or small shop with up to four spots to watch, such as the gate, driveway, back door and yard. The kit uses all four coax inputs on the DVR, so if you expect to add cameras, start with the 8 channel kit.
Split evenly it gives about 25m per camera. Measure each run from where the DVR will stand; if the total is more than 100m, add another 100m roll of RG59 with power.
Not on its own. There is no battery in the kit, so the cameras and the DVR switch off with the mains. To keep recording, both need backup power, which your installer can add.
No. Alectra supplies the equipment only. The kit is installed by your installer.
