This Gemini gate motor kit comes with the anti-theft bracket and 4m of steel rack added: the Gemini Slider 500 (7Ah), a Gemini Anti Tamper-Slider bracket, two 2m lengths of steel rack, a 12V 8Ah battery and two Gemini 3-button remotes. It suits a bare sliding gate up to 500kg where motor theft is a worry. Need less? There is the 7Ah kit without rack and the 7Ah kit with 4m steel rack but no bracket. How the Gemini anti-theft bracket works
Gemini's Anti Tamper-Slider bracket is made from 5mm thick electroplated mild steel and fits over the motor's override lever. That means the override cannot be forced without cutting through the bracket. Gemini is clear that the bracket does not totally eliminate the risk of theft, but it makes the motor a lot harder to get at.
Gemini gate motor performance
Gemini rates the Slider 500 for sliding gates up to 500kg, on condition that the gate runs on 80mm roller-bearing wheels. It moves the gate at 26 m/min through a 23:1 gearbox, with 30 kgf starting pull and 17 kgf rated pull, and it is rated for 150 openings a day. With the battery in place, the gate still works in a power cut for as long as the battery has charge. The collision sensing reverses the gate if it meets an obstruction while closing.
What you still need
Rack stoppers and safety beams are not in this box. Add Gemini infrared wireless beams so the gate has a safety check before it closes, and a Gemlink Lite smart device if you want to work the gate from your phone. If the gate needs more than 4m of rack, add a Gemini 2m steel rack. Gemini gives 24 months on mechanical parts and 12 months on electrical parts, and batteries are not covered. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only, so have the kit fitted by your own gate installer.
