This Gemini gate motor 12Ah kit adds 4m of steel rack, in two 2m lengths, to the Gemini Slider 12Ah, so the motor and the rack for a bare sliding gate come in one order. The box also holds the control card, power supply, a 12V 12Ah battery, two Gemini 3-button remotes and the base plate. Gemini recommends the 12Ah for higher traffic or more backup. Gemini gate motor 12Ah performance
Gemini rates the Slider 500 for sliding gates up to 500kg, on condition that the gate runs on 80mm roller-bearing wheels. It moves the gate at 26 m/min through a 23:1 gearbox, with 30 kgf starting pull and 17 kgf rated pull. The 12Ah version is Gemini's heavy residential model, rated for 200 openings a day at a 75% duty cycle. With the battery in place, the gate still works in a power cut for as long as the battery has charge.
About the 4m steel rack
The rack is fixed along the gate and the motor's pinion drives it. Gemini says steel or nylon rack can be used; this kit comes with steel, in two 2m lengths. One motor drives one sliding gate. If your gate needs more than 4m of rack, add another Gemini 2m steel rack.
What you still need
Rack stoppers, safety beams and the anti-theft bracket are not in this box. Add Gemini infrared wireless beams, because the collision sensing only reverses the gate while it is closing, and the Gemini anti-theft bracket to cover the override lever. Gemini gives 24 months on mechanical parts and 12 months on electrical parts, and batteries are not covered. The manual and the 12Ah spec sheet are linked on this page. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only, so have the kit fitted by your own gate installer.
