Electric fence sliding gate contacts need a solid, adjustable mount, and this is Nemtek's bracket set for the job. It is two hot dip galvanised pieces: one fixes to the wall or steel pole, the other to the gate, and the two halves of a Nemtek 2-Way or 3-Way Gate Contact mount on them so the contact plates line up and meet when the gate closes. Adjustable screws come with it for finer setting of the alignment. The gate contact itself is sold separately.

What it fits
Nemtek makes this bracket (EA-SGC/UNIB) to secure both the Nemtek 2-Way Gate Contact and the Nemtek 3-Way Gate Contact onto the gate and the wall. Nemtek's product page names it the sliding gate bracket, and the 3-Way Gate Contact manual describes it as a Z-type bracket with a large plate and a small plate that can be used on both sliding and swing gates. For swing gates that manual also shows Nemtek's separate swing gate plates and gate locator, which we do not list.
Why a bracket
A sliding gate does not always stop in exactly the same spot, and the contact plates have to meet every time. The bracket set gives a rigid mount on both sides, holds the gate contact in place during continuous operation, and the adjustable screws let the installer set the alignment finely once the gate is hung. The bracket carries no fence power; it only holds the contact.
Finish and weight
Both pieces are hot dip galvanised for outdoor use on a gate. Nemtek lists weights of 1.24kg and 1.15kg for the bracket and does not state its dimensions. The fence and its mains connection must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the electric fence system certificate. Alectra supplies the equipment only.
