The Centurion Systems Nova 4 button remote runs up to four devices from one handset: the main gate, a pedestrian gate, the garage door and one more, each on its own button. It suits a property with several automated entrances, or anyone replacing a lost remote or adding a user. It sends Centurion Systems code-hopping on 433.92MHz, runs on a GP23 12V alkaline battery and has a LED battery warning. For fewer devices, see the Nova 1 button and the Nova 2 button.

What the four buttons can run

Each button is learned into its own motor or receiver channel, so one remote can run the main gate, the pedestrian gate, the garage door and a second garage or gate. Want a button to switch outside lights? That needs a NOVA HELIX receiver with SmartSwitch II. Centurion Systems' 2024 catalogue also lists the Nova 4 button as expandable to six buttons with specific Centurion Systems receivers.

Which Centurion Systems motors and receivers it works with

The Nova 4 works with Centurion Systems SMART and SMART+ gate and garage motors, such as the D5-Evo SMART, the D6 SMART and the D10 SMART+. It also learns into the onboard receivers in the D5-Evo, D10, VECTOR2, XTrac, SECTOR and G2, and into NOVA and NOVA HELIX receivers. Another brand of motor needs a NOVA HELIX receiver before a Nova remote can run it.

Pairing, battery and coding

You or your installer learn each button into the receiver, following Centurion Systems' Nova remotes instructions linked under Documents. Alectra Solutions supplies the remote only. The Nova sends a code-hopping signal, Centurion Systems' word for a code that changes with every press, and it is a long-range remote, although Centurion Systems gives no distance figure. The battery is a GP23 12V alkaline, and the LED warns you when it is low.

Questions people ask

Yes. It learns into the onboard receiver in the D5-Evo, and into SMART and SMART+ motors such as the D5-Evo SMART, D6 SMART and D10 SMART+.

Can one of the buttons switch my security lights?

Yes, through a NOVA HELIX receiver with SmartSwitch II. The remote cannot switch lights without it.

Can the Nova 4 button run more than four devices?

Centurion Systems' 2024 catalogue lists it as expandable to six buttons with specific Centurion Systems receivers. Check with your installer that your receiver is one of them.

Which battery does it take?

A GP23 12V alkaline battery. The LED warns you when it is low.

How far will it reach?

How do I pair it?

You or your installer learn each button into the receiver using Centurion Systems' Nova remotes instructions, linked under Documents. Alectra Solutions supplies the remote only.
