Electric fence bobbins for round bar brackets: this black round bar bobbin insulator is sold each and fits over the rod of a round bar bracket. A flexible inner ring grips the bar and the outer groove carries the wire, keeping it off the steel. It is the bobbin fitted to our 6 line and 8 line round bar brackets, so it is the one to order when you need a replacement or want to add a line. The price is per bobbin. For flat bar and square tube brackets you need the flat bar bobbin instead, and for a clip-type insulator see the omega bobbin with clip.
How it fits the bar
The centre hole takes the round bar, not the wire. The bobbin slides onto the rod and the flexible inner ring holds it where you put it. The fence wire then sits in the groove around the outside of the bobbin, clear of the steel.

This listing is for one bobbin. A 6 line round bar bracket carries six and an 8 line carries eight, so count the lines you are replacing or adding and order that many. New round bar brackets from us come with all their bobbins fitted.

A registered electric fence installer must install and certify the fence; Alectra supplies the parts only. Pair the bobbins with 1.6mm aluminium fence wire and a gold 8kg spring tensioner on each line.
