This 12V 1.4Ah battery is a small AGM sealed lead acid battery for alarm panels and other small 12V standby loads. It is sealed and maintenance free. The label gives a standby charge of 13.5 to 13.8V and a cycle charge of 14.4 to 14.7V, with a maximum initial charge current of 0.39A. If you need more capacity, look at the ProSec 12V 2.3Ah or, for a bigger alarm backup, the 12V 8Ah gel battery.
Where a 12V 1.4Ah battery is used
This size is for equipment that draws very little and only needs to keep going during a power cut, such as an alarm panel or another small standby load. Match the voltage, capacity, size and terminals to the battery you are replacing.
Charging
"Constant voltage charge" on the label is the charging method: the charger holds a set voltage while the battery takes up charge. It does not mean the battery puts out a steady 12V. For standby use the label gives 13.5 to 13.8V, and for cycle use 14.4 to 14.7V. The initial charge current should be no more than 0.39A.
Before you order
Hold your old battery next to this one or send us its label, and we will check that the size and terminals match. The battery is CE marked. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
