This is the Gemini power supply for Gemini 12V sliding gate motors, such as the Gemini 12V 7Ah and Gemini 12V 12Ah sliders. It runs on 220V mains and gives a 14.4V DC charging output for the motor's 12V battery. It is also solar compatible: add the separate Gemini Solar 12V Adaptor Board and a solar panel, and the same power supply runs on mains and solar, switching to the other input if one fails. It is lithium ready.
Why does a 12V Gemini power supply say 14.4V?
The 12V in the name is the motor system it is made for: Gemini 12V sliders with a 12V battery, such as the Gemini 12V 7.2Ah battery. The output itself is 14.4V DC, the charging output for that battery, so do not expect a 12V output from this unit.
Running your Gemini slider on solar
On its own, this power supply runs on 220V mains. To add solar, you need the Gemini Solar 12V Adaptor Board: the solar panel connects to the adaptor board, and the board plugs into this power supply. With both connected, the power supply runs on mains and solar, and if one input fails it switches to the other. The adaptor board and the solar panel are sold separately.
For Gemini 12V sliders only
This unit is made for Gemini 12V sliding gate motors only. If you are replacing a faulty power supply, check that your motor is a Gemini 12V slider before you order, and have a look at the Gemini 12V DC slider manual linked on this page. Other Gemini spares, such as the Gemini PCB V.90 control board, are sold separately.
Fitting the power supply
The power supply is fitted inside the motor by your installer. Its input is 220V mains, so that wiring must be done by a qualified person. Alectra supplies the part only and does not install it. The unit measures 11 x 9 x 6cm and weighs 0.88kg.
Key features
- 14.4V DC charging output. Charges the 12V battery in a Gemini 12V slider. It is not a 12V output.
- Runs on 220V mains. Mains is the standard input for this power supply.
- Solar compatible. Runs on solar too once you add the separate Gemini Solar 12V Adaptor Board and a solar panel.
- Switches between inputs. With mains and solar both connected, it switches to the other input if one fails.
- Lithium ready. Gemini lists this power supply as lithium ready.
- Small unit. 11 x 9 x 6cm and 0.88kg.

Questions people ask
14.4V DC. The 12V refers to the Gemini 12V motor and battery it is made for; 14.4V is the charging output for that battery.
No. For solar you need the separate Gemini Solar 12V Adaptor Board, connected to a solar panel and plugged into this power supply. Without the board it runs on 220V mains.
With mains and solar both connected through the adaptor board, the power supply switches to the other input if one fails.
Gemini 12V sliding gate motors, such as the Gemini 12V 7Ah and 12V 12Ah sliders. It is made for those motors only.
Gemini lists this power supply as lithium ready. Ask the branch which battery suits your Gemini motor before you change over.
No. Alectra supplies the power supply only. Your installer fits it inside the motor, and the 220V mains wiring must be done by a qualified person.
