The ET Nice Drive 1000 is a 24V sliding gate motor for industrial and commercial gates up to 1,000kg and 40m long: factories, warehouses, estates and busy entrances. A 288VA toroidal transformer power pack runs it from 220V mains at a 98% duty cycle, with a 24V battery as backup. This listing is the motor and its base plate only, so you choose the rack, remotes and battery your site needs. For home gates up to 500kg, see the Drive 500 or the high traffic Drive 600.

Power pack with battery backup

The Drive 1000 is hard-wired to 220V through an isolator by a registered electrician. On mains the 288VA toroidal transformer drives the 250W motor directly, so the battery is not worn down by normal use. Fit a 24V 5Ah battery and the Drive 1000 keeps going for about 100 openings in the first 24 hours of a power cut on a 5m gate. Upgrade to 2 x 24V 3.5Ah batteries and ET gives about 150 operations. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.

Is the Drive 1000 the right ET Nice gate motor?

Choose it for gates between 500kg and 1,000kg, or any big gate that runs all day. For home gates up to 500kg the Drive 500 or high traffic Drive 600 are the better fit, and for light gates up to 300kg see the Drive 300.

Built with security in mind

The ET Blu Mix rolling code receiver stores up to 1,023 remotes and still works with older ET Blue remotes. The controller raises an alarm if the gate is forced open, kept open or its limit switches are tampered with, monitors the safety beams, logs events and faults on screen, has an RF jamming and signal strength tester, and lets you disable manual operation of the control card. Holiday lock-out and positive close are built in. ET Nice gives a 12 month warranty on the motor and 6 months on the battery, with brushes excluded.

What comes with the Drive 1000?

The motor with its built-in power pack and the base plate. Rack, remotes, battery and the anti-theft bracket are sold separately.

Which battery does it take?

A 24V 5Ah battery, fitted inside the motor, for about 100 openings in the first 24 hours of a power cut. With 2 x 24V 3.5Ah batteries ET gives about 150. On mains the power pack drives the motor, so the battery is only there for power cuts.

How is the Drive 1000 connected to the mains?

It is hard-wired to 220V through an isolator by a registered electrician. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.

Is this the right ET Nice gate motor for my gate?

Choose it for gates up to 1,000kg on a straight, level track with good wheels, or for any big gate that runs all day. For gates up to 500kg the Drive 500 or Drive 600 is the better fit.

Which remotes work with it?

ET Blu Mix remotes, and it still works with older ET Blue remotes. The receiver stores up to 1,023 remotes.

Steel or nylon rack?

Both work. Steel rack is the usual choice for big industrial gates.

Is there an anti-theft bracket?

ET makes an optional theft-deterrent bracket for the Drive 1000. It is not in this box, so ask us about it.

Can it run from a plug-in transformer?

ET makes a 29V plug-in transformer version with a 25% duty cycle, but this listing is the standard high traffic 220V model.
