Get a formal quoteThe Centurion Systems SDO5 SMART+ T12 is the stronger of the two SDO5 SMART+ garage door motors: 100W, 1200N holding force and 50kgf push and pull for bigger, heavier doors up to 15 m² and 6.5m wide, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in. Alectra Solutions sells it as a full kit with a single-piece sectional belt track, the SDO5 SMART+ battery backup kit, 2 NOVA four-button remotes and the Centurion Systems wireless wall switch. For a standard home door up to 12 m², see the SDO5 SMART+ T10 kit (1000N, no wall switch). Pricing is shown to trade account holders after login.
What is in the SDO5 SMART+ T12 kit
- SDO5 SMART+ T12 head unit with power cord
- Centurion Systems four-button wireless wall switch
- Single-piece belt drive track for sectional doors, 3196mm
- SDO5 SMART+ battery backup kit: 2 x 12V 2.9Ah batteries, battery housing and harness
- 2 x Centurion Systems NOVA four-button remotes
- Header bracket, bent towing arm and mounting kit
The four-button wireless wall switch opens and closes the door, turns on the light and switches on holiday lockout, with no wires to run. Safety beams are sold separately, such as the Centurion Systems Photon SMART wireless beams, and a SMARTGUARDair wireless keypad can be added for keypad access.
Battery backup sits inside the motor
The SDO5 SMART+ runs on mains power. Centurion Systems sells its battery backup separately, and this kit includes it: the SDO5 SMART+ battery backup kit with 2 x 12V 2.9Ah batteries, a battery housing and a harness. The battery housing screws onto the metal chassis under the motor cover, so there is no separate battery box on the wall. With the batteries fitted, the door keeps working during load shedding. Centurion Systems rates it for up to 70 operations on battery, depending on the door size, weight and height, how long the power is off and the condition of the batteries. The motor charges them at 870mA with built-in battery saving and testing.
Wi-Fi control with the MyCentsys apps
Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) and Bluetooth are built in. The installer sets the door limits and settings from a phone with the MyCentsys Pro app, the MyCentsys app adds remotes and users, and the MyCentsys Remote app opens and closes the door and shows its status from anywhere. You get alerts when the mains power goes off or comes back, on battery status and when someone tampers with the door or the motor, and a door service monitor tells you when the door is due for a service. With a one-time PIN you can let your installer check the fault log remotely before a callout.
Will the SDO5 SMART+ T12 garage door motor suit your door?
The T12 is rated for doors up to 15 m² and 6.5m wide. Centurion Systems says the door must be balanced and must open and close by hand with no more than 50kgf, so have the springs and rollers checked first. The track in this kit is the standard sectional door track, and Centurion Systems gives 2600mm as the maximum opening height on the standard rail. Caravan-height sectional doors (up to 3206mm) take a 3800mm rail and tip-up doors a 2046mm rail, so ask the branch before you order for one of those. The motor is for indoor use only (IPX0), and Centurion Systems says it must be installed by a technically qualified or competent person. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
