This is the 6 line electric fence bracket in the top bend pattern: a black square tube that runs straight up from the wall, with a short bend at the top that sets the top line off the line of the wall while the rest of the bracket stays upright. It is the six line partner to the 8 line top bend bracket. If you want no bend at all, see the 6 line straight bracket; if you want the whole line section leaning out over the wall, the 6 line bottom bend. Six bobbins come fitted. Some people call it a 6 wire top angle bracket.
Top bend, bottom bend or straight?
All our 6 line square tube brackets come in three patterns and share the same tube and bobbins. The straight bracket stands upright in line with the wall. The top bend, this one, is upright with a short bend at the top. The bottom bend bends near the base so all the lines lean out. Our 6 line 20m fence kit lets you pick any of the three for its nine brackets.
Fixing and bracing
Fixings are not included. Our kits put these brackets up with 8 x 80mm nail-in anchors on brick and concrete; on a steel post or frame use tek screws. Brace it at corners, ends, steps and gate posts with the 750mm stay with sleeve and screws. Because the top line sits off the line of the wall, fit it on the inside face of a boundary wall unless the neighbour has agreed to any overhang.
Bobbins fitted
Six stepped bobbins come fitted, so there are no insulators to buy or fit. We sell the flat bar bobbin insulator singly if you ever need a replacement.
Rules to know before you buy
In South Africa an electric fence must be installed and certified by a registered electric fence installer, who issues the certificate of compliance. Alectra supplies the equipment only. A fence on top of a wall must stand at least 1.5m above the ground, warning signs go at every gate and access point and no more than 10m apart, and angled brackets are fixed on the inside of the boundary wall, with the neighbour's consent if they lean into their property.
