This adjustable top roller bracket fixes to the top panel of a sectional garage door, one on each side. Of the garage door brackets on a sectional door, this is the one that sets the top roller: the bracket is slotted, so the roller can be moved in or out against the track until the top of the door closes snugly and seals. The roller stem goes into the sleeve on the bracket, and the nylon roller with steel stem fits it. It is sold singly, so order two for a door.
How the slot sets the top roller
The top panel has to sit tight against the opening when the door is closed, or wind and dust get in at the top. The slot lets the roller position be set against the track, and the bolt holds it there. If the top of your door gaps when closed, this is the bracket that gets adjusted.
Fitting it to the top panel
One bracket goes on each side of the top panel, fixed through the holes in its flanges. The garage door hinge screws (pack of 85) are for fixing hinges and brackets to sectional door panels, and the No. 4 steel hinge is one of the hinges on the panels below. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
