This is the triple lens model: a solar camera on WiFi with three lenses that show as three live screens in the V380 Pro app, one more view than our dual lens cameras. Its own solar panel keeps the built-in battery charged, so it needs no mains power. A PIR sensor picks up movement and sends an alert to your phone, and a siren with red and blue warning lights is there to warn off an intruder. Two-way audio lets you speak to whoever is there, and the housing is rated IP66.
Which multi-lens camera do you need?
Pick this one when you want three views from one camera. If two views are enough, the dual lens solar PTZ camera and the dual lens solar WiFi PTZ camera each pair a fixed lens with a pan-tilt lens. For a single view you can turn from your phone, see the solar WiFi PTZ security camera, or the 4G SIM solar PTZ security camera where there is no WiFi. Three live screens in the V380 Pro app
Each lens shows as its own live screen in the V380 Pro app, so you watch three views at once from your phone. The same app gives you the PIR motion alerts and the two-way audio. This is the WiFi version, so it needs a WiFi signal at the mounting spot: check it on your phone there before you mount the camera.
Solar panel and battery
The solar panel charges the built-in battery in daylight, and the battery runs the camera at night. The battery size and panel output are not stated, so we do not quote a standby time: it depends on how much sun the panel gets. Mount it where the panel sees direct sun for most of the day, usually facing north in South Africa. The camera itself does not need the mains, but it sends video over your WiFi, so during load shedding your router needs backup power too.
PIR, siren and warning lights
The PIR sensor reacts to body heat and movement, so people, dogs and warm car engines can all set it off. The built-in siren and the red and blue warning lights are there to warn off an intruder, and the two-way audio lets you speak to whoever is there. The camera also has infrared night vision for the dark. The IP66 housing is made for an outside wall. Alectra supplies the equipment only: mounting and app setup are done by you or your installer.
