The ET Nice Drive 300 is a compact 24V sliding gate motor for home gates up to 300kg, and this listing is the kit: the motor with its base plate, 4m of nylon rack, two ET Blu Mix 4-button remotes and the 24V 3.5Ah battery. It keeps opening the gate on its battery when the power goes off. If your gate is heavier or busier, look at the other ET Nice gate motor models: the Drive 500 for home gates up to 500kg, the Drive 600 for high traffic gates and the Drive 1000 for industrial gates.

What's in the box

  • ET Nice Drive 300 motor with base plate
  • 2 x 2m nylon racks (4m)
  • 2 x ET Blu Mix 4-button remotes
  • 1 x 24V 3.5Ah battery

Power, battery backup and solar

ET Nice requires the 220V supply to be hard-wired through an all-pole isolator within 1.5m of the motor, by a registered electrician. ET also offers an optional plug-in transformer, which is not part of this kit. The Drive 300 runs on its battery and the built-in charger keeps it topped up. ET rates it at about 100 openings in the first 24 hours of a power cut on a 4m gate, and the motor warns you when the battery is low and when the mains has failed. It is also solar power ready: the ET Solemyo 24V solar kit is an optional extra, and the charger can be switched off on solar sites. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.

Which ET Nice gate motor fits your gate?

The Drive 300 suits light gates up to 300kg with low to normal home traffic (a 25% duty cycle). For heavier gates up to 500kg look at the Drive 500, for busy driveways and complexes the Drive 600, and for industrial gates up to 1,000kg the Drive 1000.

Make it smart

Want to open the gate from your phone? Add the Gemini Gemlink Lite. Gemini says it works with almost any gate motor, old or new, and it gives you Bluetooth control at the gate and WiFi control from anywhere.

Built with security in mind

The built-in ET Blu Mix rolling code receiver stores 32 remotes and still works with older ET Blue remotes. The controller monitors the safety beams for tampering, raises an alarm if the gate is forced open, and has an RF jamming and signal strength tester for fault finding. There is a holiday lock-out channel for when you are away, a positive close setting, and a lockable manual release. ET Nice gives a 12 month warranty on the motor and 6 months on the battery.

Key features
  • Kit for a standard home gate. Motor, base plate, 4m nylon rack, two ET Blu Mix 4-button remotes and the 24V 3.5Ah battery in one box.
  • Battery backup built in. Runs from its own 24V battery with a multi-stage charger, for about 100 openings in the first 24 hours of a power cut.
  • Hard-wired 220V supply. ET requires the 220V supply through an all-pole isolator within 1.5m of the motor, wired by a registered electrician. An ET plug-in transformer is optional.
  • Solar power ready. The ET Solemyo 24V solar kit is an optional extra, and the charger can be switched off on solar sites.
  • Low power use. About 1.5W in standby and 18W at peak, so the battery lasts longer.
  • ET Blu Mix receiver. Rolling code on 433.92MHz with a 32 remote memory, and it still takes older ET Blue remotes.
  • Collision detection. Drive series gate profiling monitors the load and stops the gate if it hits something.
  • Alarms and fault finding. Warns of safety beam tampering and a gate that has been forced open, with an RF jamming and signal strength tester on board.
  • Modes for home use. Auto-close, condominium and PIRAC modes, a pedestrian opening, a holiday lock-out channel, positive close and an auxiliary relay (12V DC, 400mA output).

Questions people ask
What comes in the Drive 300 kit?

The motor with its base plate, 2 x 2m nylon racks, 2 ET Blu Mix 4-button remotes and a 24V 3.5Ah battery.

Does the Drive 300 work during load shedding?

Yes. It runs from its own battery and the built-in charger keeps it full. ET rates it at about 100 openings in the first 24 hours of a power cut on a 4m gate.

How is the Drive 300 connected to power?

ET requires the 220V supply to be hard-wired through an all-pole isolator within 1.5m of the motor, by a registered electrician. ET also offers an optional plug-in transformer. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.

Can it run on solar?

ET says the Drive 300 is solar power ready. The ET Solemyo 24V solar kit is optional, and the charger can be switched off for solar sites.

Which ET Nice gate motor do I need for my gate?

The Drive 300 is for light gates up to 300kg with low traffic (25% duty cycle). For gates up to 500kg choose the Drive 500, for busy complexes the Drive 600, and for gates up to 1,000kg the Drive 1000.

Which remotes work with it?

ET Blu Mix remotes, and it still works with older ET Blue remotes. The receiver stores up to 32 remotes.

Can I add safety beams?

Yes. There is a monitored safety beam input, and ET requires beams when you use auto-close.

Is it a 12V or 24V motor?

24V. It takes a 24V battery, like the 24V 3.5Ah in the kit, not the 12V 7Ah battery used in 12V gate motors.
