Looking for Elev8tor garage door parts? This is the replacement traveller, also called the trolley, for Garador Elev8tor garage door motors. It runs inside the Elev8tor rail and couples the door arm to the chain or belt, so the motor can open and close the door. Pull the release cord on its lever and the door comes free to move by hand. For the complete opener, see the Garador Elev8tor garage door motor kit.
How the traveller works
Garador's manual calls this part the trolley assembly, or the shuttle. When it is engaged, the traveller is locked onto the chain or belt and moves with it, taking the door arm along. Pull the release cord and the lever disengages it, so the door can be opened by hand during a power cut or a fault. It engages again when the opener next runs.
Garage door parts that fit the Elev8tor
The traveller is made for Garador Elev8tor openers. Elev8tor rails come as a steel C-rail or an aluminium rail, so send the branch a photo of your rail and the old traveller if you are not sure it matches. For extra remotes on the same opener, see the Elev8tor 4-button garage door remote.
Before you change the traveller
Garador's Elev8tor manual shows the traveller on pages 6, 13 and 16. Make sure the door is closed and the opener is switched off before you work on the rail. If the door is hard to lift by hand once it is released, it is out of balance: the springs or cables need attention, and that work should be done by an experienced garage door installer. Alectra Solutions supplies the part only.
