Garage Door Bottom Bracket, Right (Bottom Roller and Cable Bracket)
Right-hand bottom bracket for sectional garage doors. It holds the bottom roller and the lifting cable pin, so it carries the spring load: never unbolt it with the springs under tension. The left-hand bracket is listed separately.

This listing is one right-hand garage door bottom bracket, the mirror image of the left-hand bottom bracket. Check which side you are replacing against the old bracket before you order, because the two are made as opposite hands. Like its partner, it fits at the bottom corner of a sectional garage door, holds the bottom roller and carries the pin for the lifting cable. That pin takes the pull of the springs, so the bracket is under load whenever the springs are wound or stretched.
Roller and cable in one bracket
The bottom roller sits in the bracket and runs in the track, and the loop end of the lifting cable hooks over the pin at the bottom. Pair it with the nylon roller with steel stem, and on a torsion spring door with the lifting cables for torsion spring doors. The steel plate has round and slotted holes for fixing to the bottom panel.
Do not unbolt it under spring tension
The springs pull on the lifting cable, and the cable pulls on this bracket. Loosening or removing the bracket while the springs are under tension can let the cable go with enough force to injure someone. Leave spring, cable and bracket work to an experienced garage door installer. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
Check the length and the spring type
There are single-door and double-door bottom brackets. The double-door ones are longer, and you cannot swap one for the other. Garage doors also use either a torsion spring on a shaft or tension (extension) springs with pulleys. Measure your old bracket, see which springs the door has, and ask us to confirm the match before you buy.
Key features

Questions people ask
This is the right-hand bracket. The left-hand one is its mirror image and is listed separately, so compare with the bracket on your door before you order.
Two things: the bottom roller, and the pin that the loop end of the lifting cable hooks onto. Because of the cable, the bracket carries the spring load.
Not while the springs are under tension. The bracket is part of the spring and cable system, so have an experienced garage door installer do it. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
Bottom brackets come in single-door and longer double-door lengths that are not interchangeable. Measure your old bracket and ask us to confirm the match before you order.
No, the bracket is sold on its own. The nylon roller with steel stem is listed separately.
