The Gemini GEMLINK upgrade kit is Gemini's own Smart GEMLINK Upgrade Kit (12V), not a bundle put together by Alectra. It pairs the V90 12V control board with the GEMLINK smart device, so you can work the gate from the GEMLINK app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Gemini makes it only for its SEL sliding gate motors with the red release lever, from 2006 on. Already have a V90 board? Then you only need the GEMLINK smart device. Which motors the Gemini GEMLINK upgrade kit fits
Gemini says the kit is only for SEL slider motors with the red release lever, made from 2006 on. It is not for Gemini AC sliders, swing gate motors or garage door motors. This is the 12V kit. Gemini also makes a 24V kit, which this listing is not. Check that your motor's release lever is red before you order.
What the GEMLINK app shows you
Once the kit is in and the app is set up, you get live gate status, access logs, the battery voltage and push alerts on your phone. The app connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Up to 30 users are free, and Gemini has paid plans if you need more.
How the upgrade works
The old control board comes out and the kit goes in its place. Then download the GEMLINK app and register. If your motor already has a V90 board, the board side is done and the GEMLINK smart device is all you need. If it has an older board, this kit replaces it and adds GEMLINK in one go. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
