Get a formal quoteThis is the 24V Centurion Systems D6 SMART charger, also used in the D10, D10 Turbo and D20 SMART sliding gate motors, SMART+ included. What sets it apart from the 12V chargers is that it charges two 12V batteries, which together make up the motor's 24V supply. It comes in two ratings, both at 27.6V: 1.3A for the D6 SMART and 1.8A for the D10, D10 Turbo and D20 SMART, so tell us which motor you have when you order. It does not fit the original, non-SMART D10 or the 12V D3 and D5-Evo.
Which D6 SMART charger rating do I need?
Both versions are switch-mode chargers with an output of 27.6V +/- 5%. The Centurion Systems D6 SMART gate motor uses the 1.3A charger. The D10 SMART, the Centurion Systems D10 Turbo SMART and the D20 SMART use the 1.8A charger. Give us the model name off your motor when you order, so you get the right rating.
Batteries and mains supply
The SMART and SMART+ D6, D10, D10 Turbo and D20 run on two 12V 7Ah batteries. 7Ah or 7.2Ah both work, such as the Centurion Systems 12V 7.2Ah battery, and larger batteries can be fitted if you want longer standby time. The charger housing marks the two battery connections, BAT 1 and BAT 2, and carries a sticker asking for batteries of 7Ah or more. On the mains side it runs off 110 to 240V AC at 50 or 60Hz.
Not for the original D10 or the 12V motors
The original, non-SMART D10 and D10 Turbo take the older Centurion Systems D10 24V charger. The 12V motors have their own chargers: the D3 SMART and D5-Evo SMART take the Centurion Systems D3 and D5-Evo SMART Charger 12V 1.8A, and the original D5-Evo takes the Centurion Systems D5-Evo CP84 charger.
Fitting
Your installer fits the charger inside the motor, and the mains side must be wired by a qualified person. Alectra supplies the charger only. If the controller board also needs replacing, the Centurion Systems D6 and D10 SMART PCB 24V is listed separately. Pricing is shown to trade account holders after login.
