Get a formal quoteThe Centurion Systems RDO Digital is a roll-up garage door motor kit for roll-up doors up to 2.8m wide and 10 m². It runs on 24V DC with battery backup for 12 to 20 cycles when the mains is off, and the door travel limits are set digitally at the control box, with its 7-segment display, instead of on mechanical limit adjusters. This is the RDO Digital, not the older RDO II.
What comes in the box
- RDO Digital drive unit
- Control box
- Battery housing
- LED light
- U-bolt
- Plug-in charger
The receiver takes up to 20 NOVA code-hopping remotes, such as the Centurion Systems NOVA 4-button remote.
Digital limits on a 7-segment display
There are no mechanical limit stops to adjust on the RDO Digital. The open and closed positions are set from the control box, and the 7-segment display helps with the setup. Obstruction detection works through an automatic safety force system with an adjustable offset.
Battery backup and LED light
The RDO Digital runs from 2 x 12V 1.3Ah batteries and gives 12 to 20 cycles with the mains off. The motor is 24V DC and 120W, it moves the door at 110 to 150 mm per second depending on the door weight, and the LED light comes on while the door runs. Centurion Systems gives a 24 month warranty on the motor and 6 months on the batteries.
Will this roll-up garage door motor suit your door?
The RDO Digital is for roll-up doors up to 2.8m wide and 10 m², with a maximum lift of 20kg. The door must be balanced, so it rolls up and down easily by hand. If it does not, the springs need attention first, and spring work should be done by an experienced garage door installer. Alectra Solutions supplies the equipment only.
