Get a formal quoteThe Centurion Systems G-Speak Ultra metal gate station with 4 buttons is the aluminium call panel for the G-Speak Ultra GSM intercom. It is the gate station only, so it must be wired to a Centurion Systems G-Speak Ultra, sold separately, which powers it and makes the calls. The G-Speak Ultra comes as a kit with a plastic gate station, or as the 4G control module on its own, which is the one to pair with this station. Each of the four backlit buttons rings up to two numbers, so up to four homes, units or offices can answer the gate on their own cellphones.
What's in the box
- 1 x G-Speak Ultra metal gate station, aluminium, with 4 call buttons
- Wall plugs and self-tapping screws for wall mounting
The G-Speak Ultra module, the cable to it and the Universal Gooseneck are not included.
How the G-Speak Ultra metal gate station works
A visitor presses the button for the home or office they want. The gate station passes the call to the G-Speak Ultra module, which phones the number or numbers set for that button on a cellphone or a landline. The person who answers talks to the visitor through the gate station and opens the gate from the MyCentsys Remote app or with the phone keypad during the call. An electronic ring tone sounds at the gate when a button is pressed, and the station confirms the call. Each button can be time-barred on its own, for example so the main button is switched off at night, and the speech volume is set on G-WEB.
Built for the gate
The housing is aluminium, which Centurion Systems uses so the station stands up to tampering and vandalism. It is rated IP54 and works from -20°C to +50°C at 0 to 90% humidity, non-condensing. The four call buttons are backlit and each holds a paper name label under its button cover, so visitors can see who they are calling, even at night. The station measures 97mm wide, 40mm deep and 178mm high.
Wiring, power and mounting
The gate station connects to the G-Speak Ultra module with 6 wires, for power, audio and mic, on terminals P1 to P6. It runs on 7.4V DC fed from the module, draws 11mA and must only be powered through a G-Speak Ultra. The module is powered from the gate motor controller, and Centurion Systems warns that if a 12V motor supply dips as the motor starts while someone is talking, the speech quality can suffer. The module is wired into the gate motor first; then the station is fixed to a wall through two 6mm holes, or onto a Centurion Systems Universal Gooseneck, whose mounting holes it matches. On a gooseneck, fit the Gooseneck backing plate to keep the IP54 rating. Your installer does the wiring and setup; Alectra supplies the equipment only.
