Get a formal quoteThis gate motor origin magnet and bracket is the Centurion Systems D3/5 Gate Origin Magnet Mounting Kit for the original D3 and D5 sliding gate motors. The magnet mounts on the gate rack and gives the motor a fixed origin reference point on the gate. The origin sensor it works with sits inside the motor and is not part of this kit. It is not for SMART or SMART+ motors. On the original D5, the matching control card is the CP80 PCB control card.
What the gate motor origin magnet does
The origin magnet gives the controller one fixed reference point along the gate's travel. It does not set the fully open and fully closed positions: the gate limits are set separately during setup. If the magnet or its bracket has been lost or broken, this kit replaces both.
Mounting on steel rack or RAZ rack
On steel rack the bracket is welded to the rack. On RAZ rack it is bolted on with the fasteners supplied in the kit.
Position and gap from the D5 origin sensor
With the gate closed, mount the origin magnet at least 500mm away from the origin sensor. The gap between the magnet and the origin sensor must be 5 to 10mm.
