With its white LEDs on, the night picture is in colour; in IR mode it is black and white.

Solar panel, battery and WiFi

The solar panel sits on its own wall bracket and joins the camera by a cable, so it can be angled at the sun, usually facing north in South Africa. It charges the built-in battery, which runs the camera at night. The battery size and panel output are not stated, so we do not quote a standby time. The camera joins 2.4GHz WiFi only, not 5GHz, so check that your router's 2.4GHz signal reaches the spot. Recordings go to a microSD card (not included) or to the cloud option in the app, which may be a paid plan. The IP66 housing is made for an outside wall. Alectra supplies the equipment only: mounting and app setup are done by you or your installer.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0825/8689/4406/files/4k-solar-two-screens-outdoor-security-camera-1.png?v=1790323983
